Sengkang General Hospital

Greening is Healing

Key to the design of Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) was the provision of patient-centric spaces in a healing environment with clear and efficient wayfinding. Intrinsic to this is the thoughtful and purposeful inclusion of green spaces.

Responding to its urban context, the SKH Campus is surrounded with landscaping on the first storey, to soften the urban edges and encourage seamless integration with neighbouring HDB precincts. Greenery then flows from the building periphery and ground floor plazas to the upper levels, with the large roof garden at the 5th storey, making up almost the entire podium.
